Well, all things must come to an end eventually I suppose. And that is precisely what happened three weeks ago, when school began, and I found myself waving goodbye to freedom.
A summer of sleeping in until 11 finally slipped away.
The relaxed (and at one point, boring) calmness gave way to hustle and bustle as the school year started.
Now that I've slipped back into the routine of early A.M. wake-up calls and late afternoon homework, summer seems like a dream.
But unlike most dreams, in the reverie of summer, I was able to take photos. LOTS of photos. And while I can't share them all on here, I can share a few.
Well, so much for just a few! This barely even covers any of my summer! Oh well. Because I can't show it all in pictures, here are some of the main things I did this summer:
- I hiked 80 miles across Scotland!
-a few rafting trips
-Amazing Race camp
-attempt at flash mob (It just ended up being a Halloween in Summer type party)
- Teen Nights at the library
Stuff like that.
I went to Scotland for 2 weeks at the end of June/beginning of July. During those two weeks, we took five days and hiked 80 miles on the West Highland Way. The photos of Scotland above only really cover about the first three days of the trip. Well, actually, it barely even covers that. If I had uploaded all of the pictures I had taken, well, blogger would probably witness a horrific, crashing death due to data overload.
If you couldn't already tell, I love taking pictures. I wish I could bring my camera everywhere.
In Scotland, I took thousands of photos. THOUSANDS. I'm serious.
I wish I could show them all, but I can't.
I'll probably have more uploaded from time to time though.
If you guys want to see any more you are welcome to make a request.
Even though summer is over, I am looking forward to Fall and Winter.
Time to put away the shorts and break out some funky jeans!
Anyway, I hope that maybe one day I can get into a habit of posting everyday, although I doubt that will ever occur.
x Cheers! x
