February....Wha?

As I often write in my journal, oops, I haven't written for awhile. Well, if it's any consolation to anyone, I am writing in my journal again and, hey look, BLOGGING.
That's new.
Anywho, here's the bulk of the events that have recently occurred,
-School
-SCHOOL
-More school, oh, and lots and lots of long second periods learning about Andrew Jackson, to whom my friend and I refer as AJ Jackson Porter the Dracula. Long story.
-Hey, the formal dance happened. Finally. He who must not be named finally allowed us JH kids to have fun.
-Usual shenanigans
-Argumentations and tears. Also long story.
-I've started writing a new story (aah, how many times does this happen? A LOT)
- My art class gets to paint and draw on the walls
-Orientation for HIGH SCHOOL O.o
-Lot's of photos
-Oh and we had Pashmina scare

Events 1-3 School, school, and Andrew Jackson
Our school has two teams for each grade, and apparently our history class is behind the other team's because we decided to go in depth with the Andrew Jackson unit, in which we have been endlessly discussing the most controversial president. Yeah. I would explain more about him but I've already had to write SEVERAL biographies about him and am extremely tired of telling people about his life. But, I can tell you this, I am really intrigued by this political cartoon of him at war with the national bank,
(photo above found in Google images)
At first I interpreted the hydra to be Franklin's 'Join or Die' snake.... I still wonder if perhaps it is symbolized by it.... Oh and for those who are curious, the middle human is Martin Van Buren and the far right person is completely fictional. The person on the left is.... yeah yeah it's Jackson

Event #4- The Dance
After months of dance deprivation due to our assistant principal (uggh), we FINALLY had the formal dance. My best friend Georgia and I were uber excited, we had our outfits planned and everything, and the whole Friday planned out. Except....
Originally, I was going to bring all of the stuff I needed to school with me, and then I'd walk to Georgie's house and we'd hang out and get ready for the dance, then walk to the dance, walk back to Georgia's house where we would both get picked up by my parents and return to my house for a sleepover. Everything was going according to plan, when in second period, the morning announcement team reminded us that we couldn't get into the dance without our ever-so-precious ID cards. I silently went over the list of stuff I had in my backpack in my head while my friend hurriedly finished her notes on slavery in the 1800's, when I realized that I had forgotten something. The one thing I had forgot, was, wait for it....
duh duh duh!
My ID card. Eep. I suddenly burst out of my chair and screamed, "CRAP!" And then my history teacher threatened to send me into the hall. Okay, maybe it wasn't that dramatic, but mostly along those lines. At break, I promptly ran and half-dragged a starving Georgia to the office with me so that I could call my mother, who kindly decided not to pick up. In the hall, we walked briskly in heated discussion all the way to the cafeteria.
"Well, what are you going to do?" inquired Georgia as she debated between Strawberry Pop-Tarts and the strangely addicting fruit snacks. I debated fiercely with myself until I finally said,
"I'll go home on my bus, run home, grab my ID card, and run to your house!"
"Dude, you live like two miles away!"
"I know but we've walked to each other's houses before, I can do it!"
"Yeah but by when? Midnight?"
"Don't worry!" I said, even though inside my need-to-have-a-plan self I was worrying.
At 2:30 that afternoon, I found myself running to the bus. At 3:00, I found myself tearing up my house trying to find the ever so annoying ID card that I had apparently lost. Eventually, a discovery of the fact that I had hidden money and a very confused hamster who was trying to sleep later, I finally found it. I then wrote a very messy note to my mother, and ran out the door (after locking it of course). And ran two miles across town with a backpack on my shoulder on a very warm February day. Oh, did I mention, I was wearing high heels. So at half-past four, I found myself at Georgia's house with two very blistery feet. It ended up being okay after that, besides the fact that for once, not many people came to the  dance, and a lot of our friends didn't show up, but it was an okay dance. Then Georgia and I stumbled all the way to her house. Stumbling because she was wearing 6 in. heels and I was wearing 6 in. wedges.

Events #5-6
These are purely the legal business of my friends and I and I do not wish to share our arguments on the internet.

Event #7
Pretty self-explanatory. We are reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee in English Class, and I love it! It's very inspiring, which is what inspired me to write a story, which I am in the process of writing.

Event #8
Also pretty self-explanatory. And we got cupcakes for it.

Event #9
Excitement in which I will not go into detail about at the moment.

Event #10
Photos. I shall post some.

Pashy and her healing wound

I gotz me some China Glaze!!!!

Me feeling particularly military-esque

Some tres delicieux pasta I made one day, I shall perhaps post the recipe one day, but it needs a little tweaking. I added a little bit too much garlic salt, but besides that, it was delicious!

Random Photo Time!!!!

O! Snow! Where hath thou been? Thee hast been goneth to the mountains? When shall thee returneth to us and show thyself? Thy only knoweth, for I do not control the weather. It's been a long time since it snowed, is it too much to ask for some more?

This is possibly the weirdest Sweetheart Candy I have EVER seen!
Person 1: UFA!!
Person 2: Uh.... yeah.... UFA to you too....?

No Tom!

No, Dale, no. Okay....

MORE SNOW!!!!

Event #11
Pashmina is my fawn Djungarian dwarf hamster, who we all believe is part monkey. She is almost always awake and climbing around and doing monkey bars at perilous heights inside her cage. Let's just say she is really goofy, but it's cute and I love her. Well, she climbs alot, and recently I found myself sick at home, I was really bored and looking up at-home cold and flu remedies, when I looked over and saw Pashmina acting strange, I came over to investigate and found that she was bleeding all the way down the right side of her belly. I panicked and hurriedly called Mom, who was at an exercise class and begged her to come home. We took her to the vet, where we found out that she was perfectly fine and her wound was barely a wound at all, all of the blood was just from when she first licked it all over herself when she first got cut in an attempt to clean it. We were also informed that it could be from her bedding, so we took her home, Mom cleaned her cage (I couldn't because I was sick) and I am happy to report that she is all better :)

Well that was a long post, wasn't it?
